AI enhanced technology is reshaping the world of work. With me to talk about the impact of these shifts. Our vice president, managing counsel Helena Almeida, and Vice President and Chief Product owner Naomi Lariviere. Thank you for joining me today. We're starting to see a lot of changes in AI technology, and it's integrating into our everyday lives. How do you see AI affecting our everyday work? Whether you know you're the employee or you're a supervisor or a manager?

Naomi Lariviere
We're starting to see small changes. In the last two years, it's been very fast paced. There's a lot of new technology that has come out, and I think companies are still trying to digest all of this at the moment. You're going to start to see clients and or companies use it more for efficiency plays. So things that are really manual, onerous.

Those are where this technology, like if you were looking for the first use case, that's where I would probably target is things that are really heavy and burdensome from a manual input perspective.

Helena Almeida
Yeah, I think that's exactly right. When we think about artificial intelligence. For me, it's like a calculator. It's a tool that you're using to make some of the more routine or, mundane aspects, tasks easier, be more productive, be more efficient when you're doing that, which means that we actually get to spend a lot more time thinking about the human part of this.

I know we're talking we're here talking about technology, but the reality is that this technology is freeing up workers to have those strategic thoughts, to be proactive, to be more human in the workplace. Which which is great. And that's probably the place that I'm seeing. Our employers want to use technology the most, really to free up, their workers.

Time to focus on those strategy and higher level thinking.

Sameera
How do we address people's concerns of the impact of AI on their jobs?

Naomi
I think what's happening is and this is the other camp, is that the jobs are going to change. You know, if I don't have to, you know, spend a ton of time in a spreadsheet or like inputting data into a system, you know, my job changes. And I think we've seen that evolution over time. So jobs will evolve and there will be jobs in the future that we don't even know will exist at the moment.

But I guess one of the things and we've talked about this before is if you look at the top ten jobs at the beginning of the Industrial revolution, guess what? Those top ten jobs still exist today.

Helena
One of the things that we're we're hearing a lot of clients talk about is not necessarily how to replace workers with artificial intelligence, but how to make sure that their workers are prepared to use artificial intelligence. Right?

So I would I would advise people figure out how to train your workforce, get them thinking about AI, make them comfortable about using AI, because it is definitely going to be part of all of our jobs. And we don't want to leave anybody behind. So one of the things that I think we should all be thinking about is how to make sure that we're all get getting the training and learning how to use artificial intelligence.

Sameera
That's about protecting the people, protecting and protecting your workforce, and upskilling them to what's next.

Naomi
100%. But I would also say a lot of people, when I'm talking, they think that this is a technology problem, that only technology can solve it. And I think this is a really great opportunity for all departments of an organization to lean in. This technology enables you. So if you're looking for a product lift or sales lift, or you know how you onboard your clients and you want to do that faster, those are all great opportunities for those departments to actually partner with their technology team and lean in because, you know, technology teams are here to help you run your business more effectively.
