Research tells us that employees, on an average, are spending just shy of two hours in reviewing and enrolling their benefits. More than half are spending three hours And this makes sense, right? Choosing your benefits can have an incredible impact on the well-being of employees and their families, so it makes sense that they are spending this amount of time. Now, if you're a small business offering benefits to your employees, you can take advantage of tools and providers out there that will help demystify the complexity of benefits so employees can approach these decisions with confidence and with peace of mind. There are best in class PEOs out there, and these PEOs will typically offer you three things. First, they will offer you access to incredibly knowledgeable lifecycle consultants that will visit with your employees onsite or virtually to educate them on the entirety of their benefits package so that they can walk into open enrollment decisions with confidence. Second, you should have access to a platform that has decision support tools built in. Now, what do decision support tools do? They guide employees to choose the benefits that make the most sense for them? Given by the employees are in their lifestyle, in their personal needs, in their journey. And finally, these providers should be checking in frequently and in different ways with your employees around open enrollment and qualifying life events. In person, lunch and learns, webinars, emails, even personalized videos to give employee's a bird's eye view of the benefits that they have to offer. So as a small business owner, you do have a lot of tools and providers available in the marketplace that can help you approach benefits with a sense of confidence and create that sense of trust and peace of mind for your employees as well.
