We are at the beginning of a whole new set of opportunities, new technologies with generative AI as an example. When I think about the mid-market, we are in a great place where there are lots of opportunities for growth.
One thing that comes to mind is that we have the ability to partner together with multiple companies to deliver value in a new way. I think about at ADP that we've had a lot of success doing that, and I see that there is a variety of opportunities for other businesses in the mid-market to partner, to deliver value. The other thing that comes to my mind now, we have such an awesome opportunity as technology changes to look for ways to deliver to our clients that we never even imagined before.
So I get excited about the opportunity for growth that new technology presents as well. I believe that operational efficiency is actually an output. I think if you focus on efficiency, sometimes you may miss the mark. And what do I mean by that? If you get close to your customers, if you get close to your employees and you really hone in on what causes them frustration, or maybe the places where they have friction in their daily lives and you work to remove that, not only will you deliver better employee outcomes, better customer outcomes, but you get more efficiency because there's less waste in the system. I get a little nervous when people start with the productivity element in mind. Instead of first taking out the work.
