So 2026 marks the shift from generative AI to agenetic AI. And what I mean by that is AI is not just going to respond. It's going to act on our behalf. And what that will do for us is it'll make work feel simpler and even more intuitive.
I've got three New Year's resolutions for you in 2026.
First, let's work on your AI fluency. Let's make this the year that you stop fearing AI and start exploring it. I want you to learn the language. Understand what I can do for you and what it can't, and how to work with it. You don't need to know how to code. You just need a little bit of curiosity. The goal isn't to master the technology. It's to understand how it enhances your work.
The second I want you to strengthen your data confidence. Every great AI starts with a great data set. Build comfort in understanding what data means, where it come from, and how to question it. And then I want you to learn how to read insights the way you should read a story, looking for what's said and what's missing.Data confidence leads to better decisions and stronger outcomes.
And number three: commit to responsible AI. The future of AI depends on how responsibly we use it. Ask how each new tool protects privacy, reduces bias, and earns trust. Remember, technology is only as ethical as the people guiding it. Make responsibility part of your daily practice and not an afterthought.
